It’s official! I am moving back to Seattle in a month!

(this is what i have been busy negotiating these past few days...)

Here’s the scoop: I randomly emailed my old boss at the company I used to work for before I moved to Alabama asking if there might be any job openings available for when Brian and I were to return to Seattle in April. As luck would have it, there was an open position and I was offered the job on the spot. The bad part: the position needed to be filled immediately; they couldn’t wait until April.

Long story short: I was offered an amazing salary and full benefits as incentive to move home early. Brian and I decided it was too good of an offer to pass up on and accepted the position earlier today. So basically, I am coming home in the beginning of March!

The only bad part about this new situation is that I will be moving home without Brian or Scruffles. Yah, that part really sucks. However, they won’t be too far behind and will be back into Seattle only two months after I will. Oh, and the only other kink in this plan is that I will be living with my parents while I look for a place for Brian and I (and to also save a ton of money!). Yup, 24 years old and moving back in with my folks – wish me luck! (But come on, let’s be honest – how often will I be at home anyway?!)

This really couldn’t have come at a better time for us. Now instead of us both moving back to Seattle in April with no jobs, no place to live, and only one car between the both of us (I was going to have to sell my car), I will have already got an apartment rented for us and a great paying job which will help us get settled faster. Besides, doesn’t he deserve a break from being the bread winner and get a sugar momma for a bit?

The actual date I will be home is still up in the air until next week when I get Brian’s schedule. It will be sometime between March 1st and 12th, which is only about 5 or 6 weeks away. I can’t wait! I will keep everyone posted on my exact date of arrival and am looking forward to seeing all of you. I am so excited to catch up and get back into the swing of things.

Watch out Seattle, I am moving back!
