i can't believe it...

it's a dark day and i am totally beside myself. i can't believe this finally happened. the hundred+ Daria episodes have finally been pulled after months of bringing me pleasure while at work! why youtube?! why?! i understand copyright infringement and blah blah blah and i totally agree for shows that are available to watch on television or able to purchase on dvd. but why daria?! it isn't aired on television anymore so i am not taking profits away from a network nor are any of the daria seasons available to purchase. so what is the big deal?! the only people watching these episodes online are FANS of the show most of which i am sure would watch/purchase if the option was available. basically, by pulling this show you are just pissing off fans. what a waste.

to ease my pain, i bought a pair of new kicky boots today! YAY! i have been shopping for a new pair of knee high black boots for months since i hate my old pair. finally i stumbled upon a $200 pair from steve madden discounted to $50 with free overnight shipping! what a deal. best part? if i don't like them or they don't fit - i can return them, no questions asked, and they will pay for the return shipping. so excited! so they should be here tomorrow and then i can strut my stuff all night (in my apartment as not to wear them in!) to see if they are a keeper. while i can't buy new boots everytime something i love gets pulled from youtube, it certainly was fun this time! (i included a pic of my boots below, plus included the link here if you want to check out the site for yourself.)

suprisingly, work today has kept me swamped. the phone has been ringing off the hook, people keep coming in to pay bills (and by 'pay bills', i mean most just come in to yell at me because the are being sued for not paying their bills!), and make files... two of which i have to make asap so i guess i better jet and stop venting about daria and raving about boots.

ah, but to not leave you empty handed: a video on youtube that hasn't been pulled down! click here for an dead-on spoof of abercrombie and fitch from madtv. gotta say i like the brand but damn if this wasn't a too perfect sketch. (oh and by 'i like the brand', i mean i like their clothes but look from afar because only a crazy person would pay $40 for a t-shirt pre-ripped and made for a toddler but marked Large.)
