it's friday!

one of my bosses left at noon, another 15 mins ago, and the other is far away in the back in a meeting. the office is pretty chill which is nice giving me time to just drink my cherry coke and read my cosmo magazine. not sure if any of these hundred ways to please my man are new but hey, i'll give the article a shot.

today i scored a kick ass deal on a designer sweatshirt marked down from $112 to $25 (who would pay over a hundred bucks for a zip up hoodie in the first place?!) so i am pumped to rock it this evening. i am also wearing a pair of guess high heels that i found at an outlet mall and even though i bought them back in november, i haven't gotten to wear them much so they still feel new. and after work my friend put aside a dress for me to try on at a boutique in enterprise since it's on sale so i am excited to see how it fits. sales always make me happy. a sale almost seems to justify a purchase in itself. knowing how much i saved almost overshadows how much i actually spent.

however, even with everything being on sale i need to chill out since my budget is over stretched. i keep forgetting i have to pay for gas, hotels, and food on my roadtrip home not to mention pay extra since i am bringing the puppy too and that is going to add up. it's nice knowing i have a good paying job waiting for me but still, it's scary basically using the rest of my savings to get home. the move to alabama has been life changing and confirmed he is truly "the one" so it was totally worth it... but wrecked the savings that i had. i need to rebuild that. hopefully living with my parents for a few months will help.

if nothing else, i will look fabulous in my new boots and dress on my first day of work... broke and all. just like the new radicals sang "we're flat broke but hey we do it in style."

and if that quote doesn't inspire you to have a fun weekend, how about this one:

"Statistics are bullshit, just like facts." (- overheardinnewyork.com)

it's my new fave quote - i can't stop using it. if nothing else, this quote helps remind you there is always someone more stupid than you out there.

happy friday!
