you can quit scanning the obituaries...

i am not dead! i have just been missing in action. with leaving in just a little over a week, i have been swamped at home, trying to pitch in even more at work, and running errands to tie up loose ends. phew. and i still haven't started packing. seriously. man, i am screwed. ha!

but i am so excited - brian, scruffles, and i have rented a cabin up in northern georgia for the weekend! since we won't be seeing each other for a few months, we are going to take a romantic trip and enjoy each other's company away from it all. the cabin looks great and i just can't wait! it has a hot tub and fire place plus is close to hiking trails, wineries, antique shops, etc. how cute will we be tucked away in the mountains sipping wine and soaking in the hot tub, or covered in mud while hiking with the puppy, or by the fireplace playing scrabble. i totally can't wait!

i have gotten an extra day off from work to make it a three day weekend so i won't be posting again until tuesday. although at this point i seem pretty unreliable i realize but i promise to update on tuesday about the cabin... and a belated entry about valentines.
